Scrapping Therapy

Combining the German Aromapflege oil with traditional Chinese medicine therapies,

100% pure natural functional oils and specific tools are used to perform skin scraping.

The goal is to relax connective tissues,

including fascia, muscles, and tendons, while stimulating the body's immune system to enhance its natural healing abilities.

What is Scrapping?

Gua Sha, originating from traditional Chinese medicine, is one of the six major therapies known as "Bian," and has been widely practiced as a folk remedy. Based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, it is believed that external pathogens initially affect the skin before gradually penetrating the meridians and internal organs. Therefore, Gua Sha works from the outside in, not only enhancing the protective functions of the skin but also stimulating the meridians. This stimulation activates and invigorates the corresponding internal organs, thereby promoting their functionality.

Taiwan MGA (Myofascial Guasha Anaylis)

The store owner first encountered scientific Gua Sha through Taiwan's MGA. In fact, the owner had been practicing Gua Sha since childhood but didn’t have a deep understanding of its principles or the correct techniques. It wasn’t until enrolling in MGA’s online course that they truly discovered the wonders of Gua Sha through hands-on practice.

What is it that makes me so passionate about Gua Sha?

The shop owner's passion for gua sha likely stems from its unique combination of physical healing and traditional wisdom. Gua sha can quickly relieve stress, release muscle tension, and activate the meridians, promoting blood circulation and boosting the immune system. These effects bring immediate relaxation and improvement in daily life. Through scientific learning and practice, the shop owner has gained a deeper understanding and applied correct techniques, turning gua sha from a simple habit into a healing method that integrates with life, allowing her to experience tangible changes in the body.

The love for gua sha goes beyond its physical benefits—it also lies in the remarkable emotional release it can provide. The shop owner experienced years of old injuries, particularly after a car accident in 2014, which left her with restricted movement in her left shoulder blade and hip joint. Although these issues weren’t severe, the long-term limitations in movement caused considerable discomfort.

One day, the shop owner asked her husband to perform gua sha on her upper back. When he reached the left shoulder blade, the pain was so intense that she felt an overwhelming urge to cry. However, it wasn’t the pain that made her cry, but a deep sense of sadness. When she allowed herself to fully release those emotions, something amazing happened—the pain in her shoulder vanished instantly.

This experience made the shop owner realize that the body not only stores physical stress and fatigue but also emotional burdens. These unprocessed emotions might unknowingly affect one's health and body functions. Through gua sha, she felt not only physical relief but also emotional release. This profound experience is the main reason why she is so passionate about and actively promotes gua sha.

What is German Aromapflege?

Another magical experience the owner has encountered is the gift of nature—essential oils.

Using 100% pure, natural quality essential oils and carrier oils is what truly activates and heals our bodies.

(For more details about the German aromatherapy system, please click the link below for more information.)

The medium used in our gua sha system is 100% pure natural plant oils and essential oils. We never use mineral oils.

The characteristic of pure natural plant oils is that they can freely pass in and out of cell membranes. The osmotic pressure generated during gua sha facilitates this movement through the cell membranes and intercellular spaces, utilizing the fat-soluble nature of toxins to help eliminate them.

As a result, some people (especially those with long-term edema) may notice that the oil scraped out during gua sha appears grayish-black and even very thick.

What is the Benefit of GuaSha

During the gua sha process, the body's blood circulation increases up to four times its normal flow rate. By stimulating the connective tissues, gua sha activates the immune system to initiate repair processes in the body.

  • Chronic fatigue in fascia and muscles from long-term physical activity

  • Persistent old injuries

  • Issues with sweating regulation

  • Frequent headaches or neck pain

  • Poor detoxification or chronic water retention

  • Constant fatigue, low energy, or poor sleep quality

  • Suboptimal health condition (sub-health)

If you identify with any of these issues, gua sha may be beneficial for you.

Self care after scrapping treatment

Gua Sha is just a process to stimulate the body's vitality. Ongoing care afterward is very important. Here are some post-Gua Sha care tips and daily maintenance:

  • You can take a shower 10 minutes after Gua Sha (use hot water, avoiding cold water).

  • Daily heat therapy and massage help improve circulation and prevent the accumulation of Sha (stagnation).
(Heat therapy suggestions: take a warm bath, soak, or use a sauna)
(Massage suggestion: while bathing, use firm circular motions on areas with Sha).

  • Keep your body warm, avoiding exposure of the head, neck, and abdomen.

  • Drink plenty of water to aid detoxification.

  • It’s common to feel exhausted after the treatment, so avoid long drives or intense exercise on the same day.

  • Light exercise can be maintained to keep circulation flowing.

  • The resolution of Sha typically takes 2-7 days; if it persists longer, pay attention to your body’s routines and circulation.

If you’re ready to give your body a transformative experience, go ahead and press the start button for yourself!
